about

Completing this album was a dream come true for me. Ever since I started fiddling around with a guitar in 2000 I was trying to write new music, which was really just hearing music in my head and trying to manipulate the guitar to make those sounds. Took me awhile to learn enough to squeak out a full "song", a complete musical thought. At least one of the songs on this record came from a demo that dated back to around 2003. The songs were a mix of old demos written between 2003-2008, as well as some new songs written between 2008-2010 during the recording of the album.

Recording of the album began as a result of me moving to Los Angeles and attending Musicians Institute. The final project for the Recording Artist Program I was in was a CD. I was able to complete 7 tracks during this time. Upon graduation I moved back to my home in the Pacific Northwest where I completed writing and recording of the remaining tracks. I wasn't planning on 16 tracks, but that's what it took to feel like the story was complete.

I intended this record to be an instrumental concept album. Since my songs are instrumental, I like to thing they have a lot of feeling and tell a story.
