Mia sits alone, emotionally exhausted. Her soul hurts. As it rains outside, she feels a storm inside. All she can focus on is how empty she feels. Why'd her mother have to leave her? Why'd she have to die and leave her all alone so young? As Mia sits in agony, she can only focus on the pain, and how she'll never recover. She needs help. She needs love, to lift her up and set her on her feet again. She needs her mother. In the moment she feels most defeated, she feels something. An outpouring of love, her heart feels lighter, she begins to weep. She feels her mother's apology wash over her. Her mother never wanted to leave her precious Mia to face life alone, never wanted her to feel pain and reach this point of despair. She calls out to her daughter, so she doesn't feel alone. She's there, her love is real. Mia feels hope, for the first time in her life.
